Your professionally edited photographs will be delivered electronically to the email address you provide.

Photo prints, albums, and other products may be available upon request at an additional cost.

Please review your delivered photographs within 7 days of delivery.

If no issues are reported within this period, the delivery will be considered accepted.

Clients are responsible for downloading and safely storing their own files.

Delivered files will be retained for 30 days after delivery. After this period, data storage cannot be guaranteed.

If permits, entrance fees, photography permissions, or location fees are required, these costs are the responsibility of the client unless otherwise agreed in advance.

1-5 Copyright & Image Usage

All photographs remain the copyright of Japan Story Photo.

With your permission, selected images may be used for our website, social media, portfolio, exhibitions, printed materials, or promotional purposes.

If you prefer your photographs not to be used, simply let us know before your experience.

Your privacy will always be respected.

1-6 Sharing Your Photos

You are welcome to share your photographs on social media and personal websites.

Tagging @JapanStoryPhoto is greatly appreciated but never required.

Images may not be used for commercial purposes without written permission.

1-7 Editing Policy

To preserve the artistic style and storytelling of your photographs, excessive editing is not permitted.

The following adjustments are welcome:

• Minor brightness or contrast adjustments

• Standard social media filters

• Minor personal retouching

The following are not permitted:

• AI-generated editing or enhancements

• Editing by third parties

• Background replacement

• Significant alteration of people or locations

• Cropping that changes the original composition

• Commercial use of altered images

If you are unsure whether an edit is acceptable, please contact us before making changes.

1-8 AI Usage Policy

Photographs delivered by Japan Story Photo may not be uploaded to AI training systems, AI image generators, AI editing services, or similar technologies.

Clients may not authorize third parties to use the photographs for AI-related purposes.

If images edited in violation of this policy are publicly shared, Japan Story Photo reserves the right to request their removal.

2. Booking & Payment

A 50% deposit is required to confirm your reservation.

The remaining balance may be paid on the day of your experience by cash or another agreed payment method.

For experiences outside Japan, full payment is required at the time of booking.

3. Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your reservation, the following cancellation fees apply.

• From booking until 61 days before the experience: 30%

• 60–8 days before: 50%

• 7 days or less before: 100%

Cancellation instructions will be provided by email.

Any bank transfer fees are the responsibility of the client.

4. Weather

Most experiences proceed in light rain.

If severe weather makes the experience unsafe or impossible, we will work together to reschedule whenever possible.

If rescheduling is not possible, refunds or alternative arrangements will be discussed depending on the circumstances.

5. Communication

Communication before your experience will normally be conducted by email or WhatsApp.

Please provide a valid email address.

WhatsApp is recommended for convenient communication during your trip.

6. Health & Safety

Clients participate in the experience at their own risk.

Japan Story Photo is not responsible for accidents, injuries, illness, or loss occurring during the experience.

Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all international visitors.

7. Medical Conditions

Please inform us in advance of any medical conditions, allergies, injuries, pregnancy, mobility concerns, or other circumstances that may affect your experience.

8. Personal Belongings

Clients are responsible for their own personal belongings.

Japan Story Photo accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage.

9. Transportation & Additional Costs

Transportation expenses, entrance fees, parking fees, and any costs not specifically included in your package are the responsibility of the client unless otherwise agreed.

10. Respectful Conduct

We are committed to creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Japan Story Photo reserves the right to end the experience without refund in cases of abusive language, harassment, violence, illegal activity, or behaviour that threatens the safety or comfort of others.

11. Privacy During the Experience

To help protect everyone’s privacy and safety, please avoid live streaming or sharing our real-time location during the experience.

Once your photographs have been delivered, you are welcome to share them in accordance with these Terms.

12. Third-Party Services

Japan Story Photo provides photography experiences only.

We are not responsible for services provided by third parties, including accommodation, transportation, kimono rental, hair & makeup, restaurants, attractions, or other travel-related services.

13. Force Majeure

Japan Story Photo shall not be liable for delays, cancellations, or failure to perform services due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, transportation disruptions, government restrictions, or other force majeure events.

14. Changes & Termination

Japan Story Photo reserves the right to modify these Terms without prior notice.

We also reserve the right to refuse or terminate a booking if these Terms are violated or if a situation arises that prevents us from safely providing the experience.
